Windscreen wiper

Several Kubelwagen windscreen wiper motors models were used during the war.

Motor type 1
SWF steel cap. The most commun wiper motor. Due to windscreen, the motor is put in reverse. So the button is oriented on the left and the ‘SWF’ on the button is in reverse.

Motor type 2
SWF bakelite cap. Rarer than type 1. Due to windscreen, the motor is put in reverse. So the button is oriented on the left and the ‘SWF’ on the button is in reverse.

 

Motor type 3
SWF steel cap.  The button is oriented this time on the right and the ‘SWF’ on the button is in the right direction.

Motor type 4
AVOG steel cap.  Due to windscreen, the motor is put in reverse then the hole appears in the top. It is interesting to note that on the first original picture below, the kubel has the very early 1st type steering wheel & dashboard.
