Wick heater

When the engine was stopped the battery was heated by gasoline burner.
This burner have his dedicated place in the wooden battery box.

The instructions are the following:

1. Pull the protective cover (4/1) upwards from the fuel tank and unscrew the burner. Fill the fuel tank (4/4) with approximately 1/4 liter of special diesel fuel II or kerosene before each use. Note! Do not fill with gasoline or diesel fuels containing gasoline (Special Diesel Fuel I). Fire hazard!

2. Remove the porcelain head (4/2), clean the charred wick by wiping it with a match, cut off any burnt wick parts, adjust the wick to matchstick thickness using the wick guide, and replace the porcelain head. Note! The slit in the porcelain head must be in the same direction as the wick.

3. Light the wick lamp in a wind-protected location (e.g., inside a vehicle). After a few minutes, when the flame fills the entire porcelain head, turn off. Adjust the wick to ensure the flame is small and soot-free. Replace the protective cover (4/1) and readjust the flame after 10 minutes.

4. Insert the wick lamp into the heating box. If it is moved up and down quickly or if it is knocked violently, the lamp will go out.

5. Ensure that the lamp holder is adequately protected from wind, keeping the openings in the heating box sufficiently clear for air intake and exhaust.

6. After 10 hours of burning, refill the fuel when the lamp is extinguished. If there is a lack of fuel, the wick will burn rapidly.

Do not tilt or lay the filled lamp down, as fuel will otherwise leak out. If stored horizontally, empty the fuel container.
